Together with our clients, we’ve created an impressive tool that increases brand engagement and conversions for the online marketplace. The platform connects advertisers directly with customers at the initial consumer touchpoint.

Customers can now discover, subscribe and shop on publisher sites disrupting their online journey.

I am completely satisfied with the project we did with The App Solutions team. Professional developers, strong project managers and a passionate marketing team helped Shopbeam win the Internet Advertising Competition Award for Excellence in Internet Advertising in 2015.

We were challenged to create a system that could flexibly integrate with any marketplace or e-commerce platform such as eBay, Lacoste, P&G.

The customer started the project with another team but was not satisfied with the interim results. Together we came to the decision to rewrite the backend from scratch, revamping the entire project’s architecture including the admin panel interface and API integration.

At the same time, the entire system must be flexible to be able to fit any shopping platform considering its business logic and commercial goals.

Our solution

The App Solutions team has created a powerful tool for marketers and online business developers. By using this tool, any business can drastically increase all key commercial metrics such as click-through rate, engagement rate and conversion rate

Essentially, Shopbeam makes advertising shoppable. This solution applies to all types of businesses, including e-commerce, B2B products and services, and practically any other type of company that acquires users through campaigns online marketing.

Use the technology stack

We used the Ruby programming language and the Ruby on Rails framework to create the back-end and logic of the software. The user interface is built on NodeJS and Angular.

The database is created using PostgreSQL. To provide data storage, our developers have integrated cloud storage on Amazon Web Services. We also used the free open source NGINX web server which ensures high performance, stability and low resource consumption.

Universal shopping cart

Unified Shopbeam’s platform makes every website, ad, and content shoppable. By adding any product through the dashboard or server, you can convert any ad into a shopping cart with the ability to order and offer payment right in the banner.

Even more impressive, this model allows operating an accessible shopping experience without complex payment responsibilities or inventory and order management. This helps our publisher partners focus on their products and app experiences while Shopbeam removes the complexity of order automation and increases conversion rates.
