Emberlow is one of Mr.Golebievski’s mobile projects that appeared very naturally based on users’ essential needs.

After a quick research, it seems there is no such popular and easy product to prevent sudden battery drain along with saving important documents and alerting close ones about the status your.

Be curious and effective when communicating with developers and learning the technical side of projects. I had a lot of ideas and everyone managed to implement most of them, overcoming some technological limitations and finding solutions along the way. Professional team, mutual understanding, great team spirit – I really enjoyed this cooperation.

The challenge behind the project is to build an easy assistant that helps you save the day before your phone turns off. For a very broad product target audience, the decision comes down to Android app development. And the concept of the entire project is about a silent background that protects mobile users and their information from unwanted battery drain.

Our solution

All kinds of troubles you can imagine happening when your phone runs out of power are solved with Emberlow. There are several warnings and actions available in there:

• – secure your files by sending them to another device;
• – notify relatives/colleagues that your battery is running low with a text message;
• – send GPS beacons in case of emergency.

Additionally, our team decided to group it all into what we call Fonts – groups of custom alerts and protection actions that will be launched together in typical scenarios.

Science stack

The mobile app itself was created in Android Studio with Kotlin. During development, GitHub and Jenkins were implemented to control updates and continuous integration. Additionally, to ensure the design will be converted into top-notch lines of code, Avacode has been integrated.

Summary

A ready-to-go Emberlow Android app was released approximately 3 months after the project launch. A full team of IT experts was involved – project managers, business analysts, team of developers, designers and QA engineers.

Therefore, we have published a comprehensive battery saver that not only enables preventive actions to extend the life of the battery but also sends important documents and messages to other devices. and the people who are expecting you.
