This app was created under the careful guidance of experienced dermatologists and scientists to make it easier to monitor and maintain one’s health and beauty. The Biudee iOS and Android app is an innovative way to track all the changes and get advice on how to protect your skin and keep it looking great for years to come.

Project details

There are many factors and circumstances that determine how a person’s skin ages: skin type, sun exposure, pollution, exercise level, skin care, genetics, etc.

Biudee takes these factors into account when the system sets up a user’s profile. It mainly focuses on facial skin – the most tangible and powerful asset that defines a person’s appearance. Additionally, skin can be a good indicator of how balanced a user’s diet is as well as their general health.

The APP Solutions team has worked hard together with leading Danish dermatologists and scientists to make this mobile application a powerful tool for detecting the effects of sun exposure. subtle or even invisible, monitoring lifestyle and sun sensitivity, as well as ensuring wrinkles stay gone for as long as possible.

I enjoyed working with Grossum/APP Solutions team on the development of our project called Biudee (native app for iOS and Android designed to keep one’s skin beautiful and healthy ). One of the things I found particularly helpful was the easy and close day-to-day communication we had with both the PM as well as the developers.

The main challenge was to create an algorithm that could scan, identify skin changes based on photos, and provide skin care recommendations.

We chose to go the native iOS and Android app development route rather than cross-platform to take full advantage of the phone’s capabilities, such as camera integration for simulated UV skin scanning.

The complex backend was created to ensure the user’s ability to accurately monitor their skin condition and its dynamics. The user interface also has a lot of thought put into the details because it should not only look cool but also be convenient and easy to use on a daily basis.

Use the technology stack

The backend is developed using our PHP framework of choice: open-sourced Symfony. In addition to being very convenient to use with regards to development and offering many plugins and add-ons, it also boasts a sizable community that allows solving challenges with the help of advice from experts. other developers.

The user interface for the website is created using PHP and Symfony.

Communications

By answering the initial questions and by providing information related to specific aspects of your lifestyle and updating these when prompted, you will gradually build your Biudee profile and can track how your daily life affects your skin’s aging. Additionally, you will be able to track how your skin develops compared to an average group of users with the corresponding skin type.

Check skin type & appearance

Test your skin type for sunburn sensitivity. Use this to plan precise guidelines for optimal sun protection in the future. Additionally, the app also helps determine whether your skin is primarily oily, normal, or dry.

Sun & SPF-info

Vacation or travel? Mark your destination on the Biudee map and the number of days you plan to spend in the sun. Biudee Sun & SPF-Info will provide you with information on the exact amount of sunscreen needed as well as the Sun Protection Factor (SPF) for your entire stay. The Biudee app will also inform you of the sun’s strength relative to your home address. In this way, Biudee will make you aware of the sunburn risks in your destination and assist you in planning your sun protection.
